Shutdown in Pulwama, man arrested

Srinagar, Feb 26: A shutdown was observed in twin districts of Pulwama and Shopian in South Kashmir against arrests.
Shops and business establishments are closed in Pulwama town to protest against the arrests of youth. Over 13 persons were arrested in Pulwama on charges of stone pelting from Pulwama yesterday.
Army and police last night laid an ambush in Ahmadpora-Tantraypora area of Magam in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
A joint party of 2 RR Gagarpora and SOG Magam laid an ambush on Ahmadpora-Tantarypora link road, 2 kilometers from Magam town late last night.
A man was detained during the operation and shifted to Budgam.  His identification couldn’t be established. Security forces also fired some gun shots in air as they had information about militant movement.
