Shrine Board presses water tanker into service for yatris

JAMMU, June 11: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) has pressed its stainless steel tank fitted water tanker into service at Katra town, the base camp of Mata Vaishno Devi ji shrine, to quench thirst of the pilgrims in view of heavy rush of devotees amidst continued heat wave.
Official sources said the Shrine Board has its own special tanker, which was fitted with stainless steel tank for storage of safe drinking water, was moving from one place to another throughout the day to help the pilgrims of Mata Vaishno Devi ji to have safe drinking water in the scorching heat weather conditions.
“The water tanker keeps on moving daily from one place to another throughout the day especially at the places, where there is rush of the pilgrims, to give them access to safe and pure drinking water,” they said.
