Shotu to accompany Shreya, Rudra for Asian Cadet Fencing C’ship

JAMMU, Feb 22: After attending 21 days coaching camp at WTC SAI, Aurangabad, Indian team left today for Dubai to participate in Asian Cadet Fencing Championship to be held from February 23 to February 27, 2018.
J&K‘s ace fencers Shreya Gupta and Rudra Partap Singh are part of this team.
Shreya qualified for this championship by winning 3 gold and 1 bronze medal in Sabre event at National 19th Sub-Junior and 14th Cadet Fencing Championships held at Gwalior in October 2017. She was also declared best Fencer of the Championships, while Rudra qualified by winning silver medal in the said championships.
The team is being accompanied by ace coach Shotu Lal Sharma, coach J&K State Sports Council, Tukka Ram, SAI Aurangabad coach and Mrs Niramala.
Meanwhile, J&K Amateur Fencing Association has lauded the efforts of the players and the coach for this achievement.
