Shoolini University signs MoU with top Ethiopian universities

JAMMU, Feb 18:  Shoolini University in Himachal Pradesh has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with six Ethiopian universities, which would go a long way in taking forward its research programme and also give the students and faculty an opportunity to visit these universities.
Team of Office of International Affairs (OIA) Dr R P Dwivedi and Rozy Dhanta visited Ethiopia from February 3rd to 13th and signed MoU with six Ethiopian universities where both the universities agreed to start student exchange, faculty exchange, joint research and joint publication programme in vice-versa terms and higher education at Shoolini University.
It may be recalled that recognising the demand for Yoga experts internationally, the Vice Chancellor of Shoolini University, Prof  P K  Khosla had recently signed an MoU with China’s reputed varsity, Yunnan Minzu University under an exchange-program, which shall commence around the International Yoga Day, on June 21 this year.
The Ethiopian universities, with which MoU has been signed, include Jimma University, Ethiopia, a Government University, ranked number 1 in overall Universities of Ethiopia, 22nd in Africa and global ranked 1595. It accommodates 35000 plus students, Wolkite University, a Government University, ranked number 8 in overall Universities of Ethiopia and accommodates 14000 plus students, WolaitaSodo University (WSU), one of the second-generation public high institutions in Ethiopia located in WolaitaSodo town, and functions in three campus premises (Gandaba, Ottona and DawuroTarcha).
Wondo genet college of Forestry-Ethiopia, a 40-year-old university with expertise in forestry, covers 1000 acre of land, where 117 acres is dedicated to forest planting having 95 species of trees, is also among the universities with which MoU has been signed.
Besides Hawassa University-Ethiopia, a Government University having 48000 students, which is ranked among top three Universities of Ethiopia, Zion Technology and Business College-Ethiopia, a private institution offering several Program in Business Management and Computer Engineering, having more than 6000 students and one of the best in Hawassa Province, are also among the six universities with which Shoolini University has signed MoU.
