JAMMU, Apr 15: On the eve of 74th Avtaran Diwas of Brahm Gyani Sant Shri Asha Ram Bapu falling on April 20, 2014, a Shobha Yatra was taken out by the followers of Pujya Bapu Ji.
Hundreds of devotees comprising males and females participated in the Shobha Yatra chanting religious slogans and devotional songs.
The Yatra started from its base camp Bhagwati Nagar at 5 pm and after passing through Canal Road, Jewel Chowk, Raghunath Bazaar, City Chowk, Purani Mandi, Link Road, Jain Bazaar and Moti Bazaar culminated at Parade Ground.
The Shobha Yatra was welcomed by the people of all sections from wherever it passed. People were witnessed throwing flower petals at various places enroute. Various well decorated palanquins, Jhanki’s, trollies and chariot of Pujya Shri Asha Ram Bapu Ji depicting the cultural ethos of Bhartiya Sanskriti marked the sanctity of Bapu’s Avtaran Diwas.
Stalls of drinks and fruits were seen organized by the devotees for the service of the Yatri’s enroute.
As per handout of the Ashram, formal birthday celebrations of Shri Asha Ram Bapu Ji will be held at various Ashrams all over the country and abroad on April 20, 2014.
It is also pertinent to mention here that as per directive of pujya Sant Shri Asha Ram Bapu, this “Avtaran Diwas” will be celebrated as “Vishav Sewa Satsang Diwas”.
