REASI, Jan 2: After missing the century by a whisker, Shivam took 3 important wickets to help Star India Cricket Club (SICC) Thanpal thrash Darmari Cricket Club by a big margin of 90 runs to seal berth in the finals of T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Reasi Police, under Civic Action Programme at Sports Stadium , here.
Batting first, SICC sailed on a brilliant innings of 99 runs by Shivam and scored a good total of 189 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Shivam took 51 balls for his brilliant knock. Sunny and Babbi also chipped in with 36 and 18 runs respectively. For Darmari Club, Ishaq and Mushtaq took 2 wickets, while Sajad claimed one.
In reply, Darmari Cricket Club bundled out for 99 runs in 16.3 overs. Shajan and Mushtaq contributed 25 and 22 runs to the total respectively. For SICC, Shivam and Vijaypal Singh scalped 3 wickets each and Babbi claimed one.
Shivam was declared as man of the match for his brilliant all-round show.
The match was officiated by Vishwajeet and Vikas Sharma as umpires, while Madan Thakur was the scorer.
