JAMMU, Nov 29: Large number of activists of Shiv Sena Bala Sahib Thackeray today held a demonstration at R.S. Pura and burnt effigy of National Conference (NC) leader and former Chief Minister, Farooq Abdullah, for his anti-India statements.
The protest demonstration was held under the leadership of State president of Shiv Sena (Bala Sahib Thackeray), Dimpy Kohli and RS Pura district president, Sanjeev Sharma.
While addressing the protesting activists, Shiv Sainiks sought an apology from Farooq Abdullah for his remarks that ‘PoK is part of Pakistan’, and dared Centre to hoist Tricolor at Lal Chowk, Srinagar and said he was “deliberately raking up” the issue in order to remain in news for his political survival.
He said that Dr Abdullah is either suffering from amnesia or deliberately raking up the settled issue in order to remain in news.
The protesters strongly condemned the statement of the NC patron that “PoK is part of Pakistan” and will remain with it while India will continue to control its part of Jammu and Kashmir.
They said that Maharaja Hari Singh, while signing the Instrument of Accession made the whole of Jammu and Kashmir, under his control, part of the Dominion of India.
They said Farooq Abdullah’s father Sheikh Abdullah had even endorsed the accession of Jammu and Kashmir to India.
They said that Dr Farooq must apologize to the nation for his blunder and set things in the right perspective. Those who took part in this protest demonstration were Manish Sahni, Rakesh Kak, Rajeev Bhandari, Rajan Gupta, Vikas Patel, Nathpal Choudhary, Raju Salaria, Pawan Singh, Sanjeev Sharma and others.
