JAMMU, Apr 13: The workers of Dogra Front & Shiv Sena under the leadership of president Ashok Gupta took out a protest rally in Old City against the beating of security personal in Kashmir who were returning from by-poll duty. The Army personal were loaded with guns and ammunition but showed maximum restrain even though they were punched, kicked and beaten by the local horrendous Kashmiri mob.
The CRPF man was hit badly on the head and also received a kick to his chin. He was assaulted by a mob that walked with him and kept beating him while raising slogans. He is seen as being armed with a rifle but didn’t use it or retaliate with any force.
At times there are allegations that CRPF uses pellet guns. This video was made by the public and uploaded by the public. It clearly shows they are being harassed, not retaliating. The kind of restraint they are observing, it is really commendable because they gave importance to the security of the EVM. They want to uphold democracy.
Ashok Gupta stated that every time the defence forces are criticised upon there reaction towards the Kashmir unruly mob but this time it is crystal clear in the video that the Army practices maximum restrain to uphold the cause for which they have been deployed.
The defence personal should be given a free hand to retaliate to such attacks as no reaction towards these ambushing attacks will only boost the moral of these people and as per the Constitution of this country and the latest Supreme Court ruling every individual has the right to protect himself.
