Shiv Sena activists detained

KATHUA, July 15: Nearly 100 activists of Shiv Sena Bal Thakery were detained by J&K Police at Lakhanpur when they were on the way to Kashmir to raise protest against the State Govt for its failure to tackle the militants and stone pelters.
The Shiv Sena activists drawn from Punjab led by its Punjab State President Yog Raj Sharma raised slogans against Pakistan and assembled at Ravi Bridge to enter in the J&K State. However, they were denied entry by Jammu and Kashmir Police.

They continued slogans against Pakistan and blocked traffic movement on the Ravi Bridge.
The J&K Police led by Additional SP Kathua Kahlil Poswal detained the protesters and sent them to Lakhnapur Police Station.
While addressing Shiv Sena Punjab President, Yog Raj Sharma strongly condemned the attack on Amarnath yatris in Kashmir by the militants and said that Prime Minister Modi needs to teach lesson to Pakistan before China.
The Additional SP Kathua said that the protesters wanted to go to Valley in a flock, however, following the situation in Kashmir we cannot allow them.
