Shiv Nagar residents protest against lack of facilities

SAMBA, Sept 15: The inhabitants of Shiv Nagar near Vijaypur held a demonstration for lack of facilities in the area.
The demonstration was led by Babul Gupta, vice president, DCC Samba and Raj Kumar Bhagat, President, Congress Sewa Dal. All the residents of the area including men, women and children participated in the protest and shouted slogans against the BDO Purmandal.
The protestors alleged that the authorities of Rural Development Department have failed to develop their area and lanes and drains are in bad condition. They also alleged that people were facing acute scarcity of drinking water with authorities at the helm of affairs paying no attention to solve the problem.
They warned to intensify agitation in case the problem was not solved immediately.
