JAMMU, Dec 28: The National President of Shiv Sena Hindustan (SSH), Pawan Kumar Gupta along with National General Secretary Krishan Sharma and Punjab State Youth President Honey Mahajan arrived here today on two-day visit to Jammu for strengthening the party at grass root level.
On his arrival, party workers and leaders accorded a grand reception and welcome to him. He was brought to City of Temples in the shape of grand rally of cars and motorbikes which started from Satwari Chowk and concluded at B C Road after passing through Jewel Chowk and Indira Chowk. The visiting leaders were profusely garlanded while the party workers raised slogans in favour of the party.
Later, the National President flanked by others addressed a press conference and announced the refurbished State unit of SSH. He declared Shiv Kumar Sharma as new State President, Raj Kumar Bassan as State Gneral Secretary, Natwar Raina as Vice President, Binny Mahajan as State Youth President, Vikrant Kapil as State Joint Secretary, and Gulab Singh Jamwal as State Youth Vice President.
He also informed that former State President Pt Rajesh Kesari has been included in the national unit as National Vice President and assigned an important task of enlarging the party base in many unrepresented states.
He also responded to media queries on wide range of issues confronted by the nationalistic people of J&K. He said that SSH workers will fight for the cause of nation and foil all the attempts of anti-national forces working in the State. He also hinted that SSH will field candidates in the upcoming local body polls.
The SSH National President will hold meeting with party workers at various places during his two-day visit and also pay obeisance at the revered shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji. He is also likely to meet Governor N N Vohra during last leg of his schedule.
