Sher-e-Kashmir CC outplays Bishnah Club by 19 runs

JAMMU, Feb 3: Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Club defeated Bishnah Cricket Club by a margin of 19 runs in a friendly match played at Sikanderpur ground, here today.
Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Club led by Aman Cheema, after winning the toss opted to bat first. With an excellent batting display by Rohit Katal (33 runs off 40 balls) and Sunil Sharma (30 off 25 balls), Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Club posted 143 runs target in the stipulated 20 overs.
For BCC, Jaipaul took 2 wickets, while Roshan, Vivek and Gourav shared one wicket each.
In their run chase, BCC opener Gorav played a fine innings of 24 runs in 26 balls.
Overcoming the initial loss BCC garnered 48 runs at the end of batting power play. Then tight bowling performances by Sunil Sharma, Anmol Manhas, Shahrukh, Jimmy and Abhisekh tamed BCC well in the middle overs as the asking rate kept escalating to 9 runs per over. BCC batsmen could not hold their nerves under pressure and were bundled out for 123 runs. Sunil took 4 important wickets, while Anmol, Abhishek, Shahrukh and Jimmy shared 1 wicket each. For his all round performance, Sunil was declared as man of the match.
