Shawetica named President of Jury of North Zone Sport Climbing Competition

JAMMU, Sept 30: Shawetica Khajuria, Joint Secretary of Mountaineering Association of J&K and a qualified national judge in sport climbing, will be the President of Jury of North Zone Sport Climbing Competition scheduled to be held at Mira Model School, New Delhi from October 6 to 8, 2017.
This was decided in a meeting of the Indian Mountaineering Foundation, North Zone Committee held recently at Delhi.
It is pertinent to mention here that Jury President has overall authority which covers all aspects of running the competition. Moreover, Jury President presides over all the organizational and technical meetings with the competition organizers, team officials and competitors and has the power to make an exception to the rules covering the competition.
Miss Khajuria, a trained mountaineer who is also General Secretary of Tawi Trekkers J&K and an executive member of Indian Mountaineering Foundation North Zone Committee, is a topper of All India Sport Climbing Judges Course. She has judged at a number of Zonal and national competitions and was one of the judges in the World Cup Sport Climbing competition also in June this year.
