‘Shardha Temple in PoK belongs to all Hindus, facilitate its re-opening’

JAMMU, Jan 16: Various organizations from Kashmir and Jammu today made a joint appeal to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and  Chief Minister of the State, Mehbooba Mufti to initiate steps to facilitate the travel of Hindu pilgrims to most revered Shardha Temple situated in Muzafarrabad presently in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) by taking up the matter with Pakistan Government and also sought cross LoC travel for the pilgrimage for J&K Hindus.
Addressing a joint Press Conference organized by All Parties Migrants Coordination Committee (APMCC) and leaders of various other organisations from Jammu and Kashmiri Pandits  said they have resolved to fulfill this long pending dream of Hindus to visit their most revered shrine in PoK and also warned those elements who were trying to divide Hindus on the basis of caste creed, colour or region saying Shardha Mata Temple belongs to all Hindus.
The leaders castigated those who were questioning the demand saying where were they when APMCC was fighting on streets for the purpose and its chairman Vinod Pandit had gone on fast unto death twice at Jammu and Porbandar in Gujarat.
Deliberating on the issue APMCC national spokesperson King C Bharati while welcoming the fast paced developments on the issue said that all the four Shankaracharyas, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Dr Jitendra Singh, MoS PMO, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, Union Minister,  Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and others have already been apprised about the demand by the APMCC and Save Shardha Committee leadership in their various meetings and all of them have assured that the issue will be taken up. Recently BJP MLC, Romesh Arora along with 10 MLAs and MLCs of different organizations also met the Chief Minister in this regard after which Mehbooba Mufti gave positive signals about the issue.
Prominent Kashmir Pandit and Jammu Dogra leaders extended their full and unconditional support to APMCC in this regard and asked the Government of India and J&K Government to take-up the matter with Pakistan to fulfill the demand and ensure early resumption of dialogue for the purpose for facilitating travel for J&K Hindus through Aman Sethu crossing point in Kashmir and Wagah Border for rest of the Hindus.
Prominent leaders include Ranchan Pal Singh Chib, president Jammu and Kashmir PoJK Refugee Front 1947, 1965, 1971, Pritam Sharma, President J&K Kranti Dal, Advocate Ravinder Raina, President ASKPC, Vinod Pandit Chairman APMCC & founder member Save Shardha Committee, Dr TK Bhat general Secretary ASKPC, King C Bharati, national spokesperson APMCC, advocate Arun Kandroo, General Secretary APMCC, Virendra Kuchroo, Sr. leader-BJP Displaced Cell, Karnail Chand general secretary Raghunath Mandir Sewa Samiti and Ved Gandotra, President Freedom Fighters Association were in press conference.
