Sharda Prachar Samiti discusses socio religious issues

JAMMU, Jan 14: Sharda Prachar Samiti Trust, J&K in its meeting here today at Gumpal Dumana under the chairmanship of Omkar Nath Bhat (Shastri) discussed various socio-religious issues.
The meeting decided to launch an awareness campaign among the masses in general and Kashmiri Hindus in particular about the importance of preserving the thousand years old Sharda script and ancient Hindu culture and its propagation among the youth so that the coming generations are also benefitted of it.
The chairman said the prospective members will be guided for proper adaptation of Sharda culture, besides learning of thousands years old Sharda Lipi for which the Trust will arrange its manuscripts etc. He also urged the community to come forward and contribute its mite in this mission. The awareness camps in this regard will be held in migrant camps and other places, he added.
