JAMMU, Feb 25: Continuing his streak of convening weekly public meetings to address the grievances of common masses, Minister for PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control, Sham Lal Choudhary today held a public grievance redressal camp at Suchetgarh.
During the camp, the Minister reviewed the progress on the directions given to the concerned officers in the last public meeting and heard the genuine problems of the people.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the Government is taking consecutive steps for the betterment of common masses and special focus is being laid on the development of border areas.
People hailing from Badila, Kotli, Baje Chak, Katyal, Minpur and other areas participated in the camp and apprised the Minister about the issues related to road connectivity, power supply, water supply, healthcare, education, sanitation and telecommunication.
The residents of Baje Chak demanded installation of new electricity poles, besides replacement of old cables and up gradation of electricity transformer. They further demanded construction of a community hall in the area.
The Minister assured them that their concerns have been duly noted for early redressal.
