JAMMU, Dec 3: Shakoor Ahmed’s five for helped Friends Cricket Club (FCC) Jammu to register win over Media-XI Cricket Club Jammu by a huge margin of 125 runs in a friendly match of 25 overs, which was organized by FCC Jammu at Sidhra Ground, here today.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, FCC led by Skipper Faheem Tak made 216 runs for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 25 overs. Rahul Dutta made 39 runs in 50 balls, while Irfan Dar scored 39 runs in 22 balls. Anshu Sharma scored 36 runs in 20 balls.
For Media-XI CC side, Ashu Kumar and Des Raj alias Bittu took two wickets each, while Yash Khajuria scalped one wicket.
Chasing the target, Media-XI CC led by Skipper Mir Imran bundled out at paltry 91 runs and lost the match by a huge margin of 125 runs. Yash Khajuria and Amit sudan made 19 runs each in 14 balls, while Sunil Bali scored 11 runs in 13 balls.
For FCC, Shakoor Ahmed bowled well and scalped 5 wickets, while Gourav Luthra took 2 wickets and Faheem Tak scalped one wicket in their 5 over spells.
Shakoor Ahmed was declared as Man of the Match for his 5 wickets haul.
