Shahid CC drubs Smailpur Club by 5 wkts

SAMBA, June 9: Shahid Cricket Club defeated Smailpur Cricket Club by 5 wickets in the ongoing District Samba JKCA Premier Cricket Championship, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association at Smailpur Cricket ground, here.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Smailpur Club scored a modest total of 106 runs in 18 overs. Deepak and Anku were the main contributors with 29 and 25 runs respectively. Susheel took 4 important wickets from Shahid Cricket Club by conceding 30 runs in his 4 overs, while Surinder bagged 3 wickets by giving away 13 runs in his 3 overs.
In reply, Shahid Cricket Club chased the target in 13.5 overs by losing 5 wickets, thus won the match by 5 wickets. Shotu and Mithi contributed 21 and 17 runs to the total respectively. Anku took 3 wickets for Smailpur Cricket Club.
