Shah, Rajnath, others denounce killings

Prominent political leaders tonight condemned the killing of BJP leader Anil Parihar and his brother Ajit Parihar by the militants in Kishtwar.
“Just got the tragic news of killing of Anil Parihar, Secretary BJP J&K and his brother by terrorists in Kishtwar. This is a cowardly attack that shames humanity. I grieve the death of my valued colleague and pray that God gives his family strength to bear this untimely loss,” BJP president Amit Shah tweeted.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh wrote on twitter: “Shocked and pained by the killing of State BJP leader Anil Parihar and his brother. My heart goes out to the bereaved family. Spoke to Advisor to Governor, Vijay Kumar regarding the incident. Police will leave no stone unturned to bring the perpetrators to justice”.
Union Minister of State in PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh tweeted: “Deeply shocked by the killing of a dear party colleague and BJP State Secretary Anil Parihar and his brother. No words to express the grief. Rushing to Kishtwar at the earliest…that is the only thought on mind”.
National Conference vice president and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah tweeted: “Very sad news. My condolences to Anil and Ajit Parihar’s family and colleagues”.
BJP State president Ravinder Raina blamed Pakistan and its sponsored terrorists for the attack. He said the attack was carried out in frustration by the militants and called upon security forces to teach the militants a lesson.
National Conference’s Jammu province chief Devender Singh Rana strongly condemned the killings as “barbaric, inhuman and most unfortunate”.
“Violence has no place in a civilized society,” Rana said and hoped that the people will unitedly face the challenge posed by elements inimical to peace and tranquility.
CPM veteran MY Tarigami condemned the killings in strongest terms and called upon security agencies to bring perpetrators of the attack to book.
Former Minister and BJP MLA Bali Bhagat denounced the killings and called upon police and security forces to ensure that the militants responsible for the attack don’t survive long. He said Anil Parihar was committed and dedicated BJP leader.
