SFA launches district football unit Kargil, completes M-22

KARGIL, May 16: Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council (JKSSC) run State Football Academy (SFA) completed its groundbreaking project Mission-22 by launching remaining district football unit for Kargil district besides conducting selection trials to pick probable for the district football unit Kargil at Khree Sultan Choo Stadium, here today.
On this occasion, Chief Planning Officer Kargil, Tashi Tunduk was the chief guest while as Deputy Information Officer Kargil, Mohammad Ali Tak was the guest of honour.
The trials were conducted under the supervision of senior coaches of JKSSC, Javed Ahmed Sofi, and SFA Head Coach Muzamil Mahmoud besides coordinated by Boxing Coach SAI, Mustafa Ali and Zakir Ahmed.
Around 300 football aspirants from various areas of Kargil attended the trials among which sixty probables under three age groups, 13, 15 and 18 respectively were shortlisted on requisite parameters.
Meanwhile, the locals of Kargil district of Ladakh region expressed their pleasure and appreciated the efforts of JKSSC for availing opportunity to the youth of their district.
The Mission-22 which was the vision of Secretary Sports, Waheed-Ur-Rehmaan Para to enhance and flourish football across all the districts of J&K was initiated and organized by J&K State Sports Council and State Football Academy besides getting full support from Jammu and Kashmir Football Association.
