SFA Inter Academy Football League Cluster Poonch-Rajouri commences

POONCH, Apr 23: The State Football Academy (SFA) Inter Academy Football League 2017-18 for Poonch and Rajouri cluster kicked off at Government Higher Secondary School Boys Ground, here.
In this cluster, SFA Poonch and SFA Rajouri District teams under three age groups comprising of 13, 15, and 18 respectively were participating.
On the inaugural match, prominent businessman, Rajiv Tandon was the chief guest who interacted with the players and hailed SFA crew for their praise worthy job.
Ex-District Officer Youth Services and Sports Poonch, Prem Prakash Luthra was the guest of honour on this occasion.
The event was also graced by the well known dignitaries and enthusiastic crowd.
Three matches were played between SFA Poonch and SFA Rajouri among three age groups U-13, U-15, and U-18 in a single round.
SFA Poonch under-18 team emerged victorious by thrashing SFA Rajouri under-18 by 3-0 goals to qualify for the final round.
However, U-15 and U-13 matches between SFA Poonch and SFA Rajouri ended in draw and the winners among both the age group teams will be decided through draw of lots after the winners of first round of cluster matches will be decided.
Pertinently, the district coaches of the teams will also participate through video conference during draw of lots.
The matches were played under the supervision of Organizing Secretary and Coordinator, Rajindar Singh besides In-Charge Rajouri, Mohammad Bilal with full support and coordination from District Football Association Poonch.
The league is being played under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Football Association as per the guidelines of All India Football Federation.
