Series of quality improvement programmes on anvil for GN Hospital: Speaker

JAMMU, June 30: Speaker Legislative Assembly and Chairman Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS) Kavinder Gupta today chaired a meeting of the governing body of the Rogi Kalyan Samiti of Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar.
The Speaker took detailed review of patient care facilities and infrastructure upgradation works being carried out in the hospital.
The meeting was attended by Dr Madhuri Slathia, Medical Superintendent (Vice Chairman RKS), Dr Arun Sharma, Dy Medical Superintendent (Member Secy of RKS), Dr Robinder Khajuria, Chief Medical Officer Jammu, Superintendent Engineers of PDD, PWD & PHE, Dr Anil Gupta ADMO Jammu, Programme Officer ICDS, Ruchi Chauhan Khan representing NGO, Vinay Gupta, Surjeet Choudhary, Param jeet Singh, Jai deep Sharma, Ajay Pargal.
Expressing satisfaction over the improvements and achievements made in different units and sections of the hospital, Kavinder stressed upon regular follow up of the work done for further improving the basic medicare available to the common masses. He emphasized that priority should be given to the quality of services being provided to the patients and implementation of patient care programmes in letter and spirit.
He also talked about various quality improvement programmes being implemented in hospital including Kayakalp, Model Hospital Initiative (PM Development Package), Quality Assurance Programme, Smart City etc, for which the hospital is being funded through National Health Mission Govt of India.
Earlier, Dr Madhuri Slathia presented detailed account of development activities and status of patient care in the health institution.
Meanwhile, Speaker stressed the need for upgradation of Satwari Nallah flowing alongside Air Force Station Jammu to avoid its chocking in the rainy season.
He held a meeting with Indian Air Force authorities and sought their cooperation and technical help to modernize the deep drain which often gets choked and overflowing water causes damage to shops and residential houses in the area.
Air Force authorities assured full cooperation in solving the problem.
Earlier, he inspected the deep drain with a team of Irrigation and Flood Control Department. The Speaker directed the concerned officers to take measures to avoid such problem in future.
