SRINAGAR, June 11: Kashmiri Pandits who want to come back to Kashmir Valley today opposed demand of separate colonies for Pandits in Valley and termed it a conspiracy and a challenge to Kashmiriyat.
Dr Sandeep Mawa of Jammu and Kashmir Reconciliation Front told a news conference here that Kashmiri Muslims and Pandits share a bond and separate Pandit colonies is aimed at creating further divide.  ”The Muslims and Pandits have always lived like brothers, shared happiness and sorrows with one another. There is love and affection between these two communities but under a well planned conspiracy with the help of few Pandits a wedge is being created between Pandits and Muslims,” he said.
He said the proposals like the creation of separate Pandit townships and Sainik Colony is nothing but widen the gap between Pandits and Muslims. “It is a momentous opportunity for both the communities, at one end it is a Holy month of Ramadan and another there is Mela Kheer Bhawani. Let Muslims show the true aura of Islam by opening their hearts and homes for minorities,” he said.
Sanjay Reshi of Return and Rehabilitation Forum said they will not let anyone disturb our traditional harmony, brotherhood and Kashmiriyat.
Another Kashmiri Pandit leader Ramesh Kitchloo said it was a biggest conspiracy about the migration of Kashmiri Pandits, and not only Pandits but Kashmir Muslims also suffered a lot.
