RAJOURI, Mar 30: The UGC funded Community College, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Rajouri organized a one day national seminar on “Tourism & Sustainable Development” in the School of Management Studies, BGSB University.
The objective of the seminar was to acquaint scholars from both academia & Industry about the concept of Sustainable Tourism Development & to put the deliberations on the ways to develop the tourism but not at the cost of nature.
About 25 papers were received for the seminar and about 20 scholars finally made the presentations.
The key note address was delivered by Prof Prikshit Singh Manhas, Director, School of Hospitality & Tourism Management, University of Jammu.
Prof Naseem Ahmed, Dean School of Management Studies, BGSBU, presented welcome address and highlighted theme of the seminar.
Vote of thanks was presented by the organizing secretary of the seminar, Jatinder Kumar.
The national seminar was organized by Nodal Officer, Community College, Kafeel Ahmed and the proceedings of the seminar were conducted by Danish Iqbal Raina.
In the valedictory function, certificates were distributed to the participants.
The seminar concluded with the formal vote of thanks presented by Vinay Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies.
