Seminar on ‘Sleep Apnea in children’ organized in ASCOMS

JAMMU, May 17: A seminar on ‘Sleep Apnea in children’ was organized today here in ASCOMS auditorium to commemorate World Hypertension Day.
Dr Pavan Malhotra, Director Principal, was the chief guest on the occasion while Dr Sandeep Koushal, Assistant Dean, DMC Ludhiana, Dr GS Saini, Dr Parmod Kalsotra and Dr Narender Khullar, were guests of honour .
More than 250 delegates which included faculty, residents, medical as well as nursing students and many doctors from other hospitals attended this scientific activity.
Dr Rajesh, Professor and Head, Department of ENT, Dr Satish Mehta, noted ENT surgeon, Dr Nitika Mehta, senior resident ENT and Dr Prenika Shangloo, senior resident, Pediatrics from ASCOMS spoke on various aspects of Sleep Apnea.
It was a very interactive session and on the spot prizes were given to the delegates who attended quiz session.
This activity was organised by Medical Education Unit in association with Departments of Pediatrics and ENT. Dr Ravinder K Gupta, Professor and Head, Department of Pediatrics, convened the event.
The chief guest along with Dr Sandeep Koushal presented awards to the speakers.
