Seminar on biodiversity conservations concludes at JU

JAMMU, Mar 29: Two-day National Seminar on “Emerging Trends and Challenges in Biodiversity Conservations” concluded today in the Depar-tment of Zoology, University of Jammu (JU).
Prof Jigar Mohd, Dean, Research Studies, who was the chief guest of the valedictory function, expressed his ideas of innovative research by young researchers which could contribute to the benefit of the society. Prof Geeta Sumbali, Dean, Life Sciences, who was the guest of honour, in her speech, inspired the researchers and College teachers to contribute and continue the research temperament.
Prof Roopma Gandotra, HoD Zoology and Convener of the Seminar, presented a detailed report of the seminar wherein 10 eminent researchers and teachers of national repute delivered lectures on biodiversity, impact of environment and conservational strategies.
During the programme, about 125 participants including teachers from various PG departments of Jammu University, Central University and Kashmir University besides 35 College teachers also participated. About 70 Poster presentations were also made by the researchers.
