Selection for Class-IV posts now on written test basis

JAMMU, Sept 15: Governor has directed the Government Departments to select the Class-IV employees solely on the basis of written test.
According to the order, the test will be conducted by Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board with the condition that the selection against State, Divisional and District cadre posts shall be restricted to the candidates, who are eligible for selection in these as per extant rules.
The procedure for the selection for the post of which selection process has already been initiated by the Empowerment Committee(s) shall continue to be governed by the rules and orders in force on the date of the issuance of this notification, the order reads.
The qualification for recruitment for Class-IV posts shall continue to be governed by notification SRO 99 dated April 7, 2008, the order reads further.
