NEW DELHI, Aug 11: Select bold grain prices rose by up to Rs 20 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today due to increased offtake.
However, wheat and rice basmati held steady in thin trade.
Traders said uptick in demand from consuming industries against restricted arrivals from growing regions mainly attributed to the rise in select bold grain prices.
In the national capital, maize and barley rose by Rs 20 each to Rs 1,360-1,385 and Rs 1,610-1,620, while bajra edged up by Rs 10 to Rs 1,480-1,485 per quintal, respectively.
