Seek KPs consent on return to Valley: YAIKS

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, July 26: Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) has categorical rejected the return move of the Government. In its meeting here today held under the chairmanship of YAIKS president R K Bhat it said no return formula will be acceptable without seeking the consent from the displaced community who actually has to return to the Valley.
The meeting said that the return of KPs in previous locations and such small clusters have already been rejected by the community by and large. It is ironic that without having any proper roadmap for the return the expression of interest is being circulated by the Government. Unless a comprehensive road map for the return is not finalized, community is being advised not fall in such mischievous act of Government which can be counterproductive for the community in near future who has to return after 25 years of exiled period.
The meeting said that YAIKS is convinced that the new dispensation at the Centre is committed to deliver on the promises made to displaced community. It is therefore, imperative that we choose to be a part of this process.
YAIKS also warned those individuals and so called organizations who are meeting separately to the GOI with their personal agenda in the name of displaced community. They will be exposed shortly before the community, it added.
Others who expressed their views were Sunil Koul (vice president), Manoj Handoo (general secretary), Ajay Safaya, Deepak Dhar, Sanjay Ganjoo, D N Bhat, Sandeep and Sunil Dhar (YAIKS secretaries).
