JAMMU, Jan 22: Dr Naseem Chowdhary Secretary J&K State Sports Council flagged off Sub-Junior National Wushu team for the 18th Sub-Junior National Wushu Championship to be held at Lovely Professional University, Jallandhar in Punjab from January 22 to January 27, 2019.
The 44 member (39 players 2 coaches, 2 managers and 1 TO) J&K State Wushu team was screened by the J&K State Sports Council for the participation in this Championship.
The championship is being organised by the Punjab Wushu Association under the aegis of Wushu Association of India.
The screening of the team was conducted by Haji Abdul Qayoom, Chief Sports Officer J&K State Sports Council (CSO), Ravi Singh (DSO), Ashok Singh (Manager) and Satish Gupta (Manager).
Pertinent to mention here that in the 17th Sub Junior National Wushu Championship held at Jammu, J&K State Wushu team remained overall second.
The office bearers of the Association who were present during the ceremony were Yogesh Sawhney, Chief Patron, Vijay Saraf, (President), Sunil Sharma (Treasurer), Sohit Sharma (Associate Secretary) and Kuldeep Handoo (CEO) and National Chief Coach of India.
On the occasion, Mr Saraf thanked the Secretary JKSSC for flagging off the State team.
