JAMMU, July 14: Commissioner/Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Nirmal Sharma convened a meeting to review various development schemes being implemented by the department in Jammu division here today.
Director, Rural Development, Superintending Engineer REW, Joint Director (Adm), Assistant Commissioners Development, District Panchayat Officers, POs, Executive Engineers, REW from all the districts in Jammu province, besides other senior officers of the department were present in the meeting.
Nirmal Sharma took a comprehensive review of the progress on Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin), Geo-tagging of assets, Aadhaar seeding, job card verification, MIS and other schemes.
While reviewing the physical and financial achievements registered by the department in Jammu region, the Secretary was informed that total 3,553 beneficiaries have been registered against target 7,724 under PMAY whereas 1,218 registered beneficiaries are also geo-tagged.
The Secretary impressed upon the officers to optimally achieve the set targets during the current financial year and also stressed on close monitoring of ongoing works to ensure quality and adherence to timelines.
She directed the ACDs to work with dedication for making the blocks under their jurisdiction ‘open defection free’ and also set timeline for achieving the targets.
Other issues discussed in the meeting included job card verification status, Aadhaar verification status, percentage of works completed since inception of MIS as on 13-07-2017, new target of Asset ID generation and geo-tagging for the month of July 2017, district wise approved PDs for the FY 2017-18, financial performance under MGNREGA, number of uploaded photographs of IHHL so using mobile application, physical /financial progress report under 14th FC ending March 2017 and details of funds under 13th FC Award in respect of Jammu during 2015-16.
Earlier, Director Rural Development, Ravinder Kumar Bhat apprised the chair about the financial and physical achievements made under various schemes of the department during the year 2017-18 as on 13-07-2017.
