KATHUA, Nov 8: A meeting of SC/ST/OBC retired officers was held at Saint Gorgey Ji Mandir here today in which a large number of retired officers participated.
The meeting elected P K Chauhan as president. Dr C R Munday was elected as vice president, Prof Saroop Chander was elected as general secretary, Dr Haridayal as secretary, Thuru Ram as cashier, Bishan Dass Ladwal and Bishan Dass Prajapati as joint secretaries, Om Parkash, Dr Shiv Kumar, Bodh Raj and Dr Shindu Raj as members of the Committee.
In the meeting reservation in promotion and other issues related to SC/ST/OBC communities were also discussed. The president assured the members that he work wholeheartedly with the support of all the members for the welfare of these communities.
