UDHAMPUR, Jan 11: A shocking incident of alleged molestation of a class 10th girl student by the Principal of her school took place in village Chakhar, under the jurisdiction of Udhampur Police Station, here.
Acting swiftly on complaint of the victim, Udhampur Police has arrested the accused, identified as Ramprakash, Principal cum owner of the private school Swami Vivekanand Memorial High School, Chakhar, said SHO Udhampur, Inspector Sanjeev Gupta.
The incident took place at the school yesterday and the victim narrated the ordeal to her parents, who took her to Police Station this morning and lodged a written complaint of alleged molestation by the accused Principal.
A case FIR number 21/2018, under section 354 RPC has been registered in this connection at Police Station Udhampur and further investigation is going on.
