School bags distributed among orphans, poor students

POONCH, Apr 9: Continuing its mission of reaching out to needy sections of the society, APJ Abdul Kalam Human Welfare Foundation today distributed school bags among orphans and poor students in a camp organized at Jamia Zia Ul Uloom High School, here today.
Chairman Kalam Foundation, Khalil A Banday while presenting welcome address said that the Foundation will continue its mission of inviting intellectuals from across the country to interact with the people of Poonch.
Speaking on the occasion, chief guest Additional DDC Hameed Shaikh said that distributing bags among the orphans and poor students is a noble cause and everyone must aspire to do that. “We all must be very loyal to our basic primary duty too”, he added.
Additional SP Anwaar-ul-Haq said that Kalam Foundation has been doing great services for the society.
In this camp, more than 100 poor and needy students from more than 15 different Government schools were given quality school bags.
Advocate Mohammad Zaman President District Bar Association Poonch, Dr Mumtaz Bhatti Chief Medical Officer, Advocate Lal Hussain Mushtaq, Maulana Sayeed Habib, Chairman Zia Ul Uloom Group of Institutions, Abdul Raheem ARTO Poonch, Waheed Ahmed, Functional Manager DIC Poonch, Waheed A Banday, Principal Jamia Zia Ul Uloon High School Poonch and many others expressed their views on the occasion.
President GBEA Asad Chouhan conducted the proceedings of the function, whereas Syed Nusrat Shah, Chairman SRK Peace Foundation presented vote of thanks.
