BARAMULLA/BANDIPORA: As per the directions of Chief electoral officer Jammu and Kashmir, the District Panchayat Election officer Baramulla today announced revision schedule of Panchayat Electoral rolls in the district.
Accordingly, October 07 has been scheduled for draft publication of electoral rolls, while as the filling of claims and objections for addition and deletion can be done from October 07 to 13.
The special camp at the polling booth locations shall be held from October 08 to 11 during which VLW, MPW, GRS of Rural Development Department and BLOs shall remain available at the polling booth.
It was also mentioned that the disposal of claims and objections by the concerned EROs shall be held from October 14 to October 23, while as updating and printing of final electoral roll and the publication of final Panchayat Electoral Roll 2017 shall be held from October 24 to November 05, 2017respectively.
Meanwhile, in connection with Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls with reference to January 01, 2018 as qualifying date, the District Election Officer (DEO) Bandipora has issued the schedule for the district.
As per the schedule, the date for draft publication of electoral rolls fixed as on 03/10/2017 while as the period of filing claims and objections will be from October 03 to November 01. The dates October 04 and October 18 would be the reading of relevant part & section of photo electoral rolls in Gram Sabha & local bodies, RWA meeting and verification of name.
Special campaign with Booth Level Agents of Political Parties for receiving claims and objections will be held on October 14 and October 21, 2107. The date for disposal of claims and objections will be November 30. Updating the database, merging of photographs, updating the control table and preparation and printing of supplementary list will be December 15 while as for January 01, 2018 has been fixed as the date for final publication of Electoral Rolls.
