NEW DELHI: SC commences hearing on CBI Director Alok Verma’s plea challenging Govt’s order divesting him of his duties.
CVC report is very uncomplimentary on some charges against Alok Verma and on some it says further probe is needed said.
SC proposes to provide Alok Verma with preliminary CVC probe report in sealed cover. He will have to file reply in sealed cover.
SC orders that CVC report be given to CBI Director Alok Verma in sealed cover.
SC asks CBI Director to file his response to CVC report in sealed cover.
SC says CVC report on Alok Verma be also be given to Attorney General and Solicitor General.
Response has to be filed by Alok Verma by Monday. We will take up case on Tuesday said SC. (agencies)
