SBM employees stage protest

JAMMU, Nov 13: The employees of Saakshar Bharat Mission (SBM) here today staged a protest demonstration demanding the extension of their services further by two years.
President of SBM employees, Ishfaq Ahmad told reporters that SBM has not been granted further extension from March 31, 2018 and it started in the year 2011 in J&K.
He also said that in other states it started in the year 2009.

“We demand a two years extension as this started two years late in J&K,” Ahmad maintained.
He also informed that for the SBM employees who have completed six years of service, State Government had started a process for their employment policy and that file is presently lying at Planning Department of school education.
The protesters appealed to the Governor to look into their issue.
