KARGIL, May 5: Defeating Skarchen Sports Club Latoo by a margin of 43 runs in the summit clash, SB Club won the title trophy of the New Era Cricket Tournament at Khree Sultan Cho Stadium, here.
Earlier, SB Club won the toss and decided to bat first and scored 203 runs for the loss 3 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Skarchen Latoo, in reply could manage only 159 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Aasif scored a brilliant century for SB Club and was adjudged as the man of the match. He was also declared as the man of the series for his consistent performance.
Chairman Legislative Council Jammu and Kashmir, Haji Inayat Ali was the chief guest and Chairman LAHDC Kargil, Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan was the guest of honour.
Both the dignitaries distributed prizes among the winners and runner-up teams.
