Saubhagya will enlighten houses of poor: Jugal

JAMMU, Apr 28: As a part of ongoing campaign launched by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi  on April 14,  on the name of Gram Swaraj Abhiyan- today Gram Shakti Diwas was observed and awareness cum registration camp was held in the premises of both Block Development Office Miran Sahib, R.S Pura & Block Development Office, Akhnoor .
Member Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma was the chief guest on both the occasions.
While speaking on the occasion, Jugal exhorted upon the concerned departments to undertake more rigorous and intensified outreach campaign with application of innovative methods to cover left out families for achieving cent percent saturation under GSA most of the people can be benefited from schemes initiated by Central Government. He added that Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojna or Soubhagya launced by  Narendra Modi to electrify each and every household even in small cluster of rural parts, the leftover areas not covered under DDUGJY.
He also directed the concerned departments to ensure door to door outreach of schemes including free LPG connections, electricity supply, Jan Dhan accounts, two PM Insurance schemes and the immunization of children with objective to ensure total coverage and saturation of schemes that will ensure success of this Abhiyan
The main function was organized by PDD to celebrate Gram Shakti Diwas and distribute LED bulbs under Pradhanmantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojna (Saubhagya). Xen PD Singh informed that 350 new connections have been provided in remote areas of Bishnah and Miran Sahib and more than 65 in Akhnoor. Xen PDD Sanjay Sharma also informed that a village Jamotian in Akhnoor also electrified.
MLA RS Pura Gagan Bhagat, MLA Akhnoor Rajeev Sharma,MLA Chamb Krishan Bhagat,ADDC Suraiya Jabeen,ACD Mubassir Latifi,Xen PDD Ghandi Nagar Division Padam Dev Singh,XEn PDD Akhnoor Division Sanjay Sharma , AEE Miran Sahib, Manjeet Singh, AEE Bishnah Ajaypal Singh besides other officials from PDD,Block Development Officers Rural Development Revenue, , Health and Family Welfare, PHE, Social Welfare, FCS & CAs, Education Departments and nodal officers for implementation of Gram Swaraj Abhiyan were also present on the occasion.
