JAMMU, June 28: Five wickets haul by Satish helped Baloria XI to register 6 wickets win over White Cricket Club (WCC) and to make it to the semis of the ongoing 1st Summer T-20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Lieutenant Thakur Dass Cricket Club Akhnoor, at GGM Science College hostel ground, here today.
Batting first, WCC scored paltry 45 runs for all out in 13.4 overs. Ave and Sharu made 8 and 6 runs respectively.
From Baloria XI side, Satish was the pick of the bowler with 5 wickets, while Rahil and Sahil scalped 2 wickets each and Raman Dutta clinched one wicket.
In reply, Baloria XI chased the target in 7.3 overs for the loss of 4 wickets. Arsh was the top batsman with 30 runs.
From WCC side, Surinder and Sahil took 2 wickets each.
Satish of Baloria XI was adjudged as Man of the Match.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik and Madan Lal as umpires, while Sandeep Manchanda maintained the scoreboard.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Baloria XI will take on Market Bulls Cricket Club in second semifinal.
