JAMMU, Apr 18: The foundation day of Shiv Mandir Charak Biradri was observed at Shiv Mandir Charak bhawan here today.
On the occasion president Charak Biradari Rajeev Charak urged the community youth to maintain a high disciplined life and maintain the rich traditions of Rajput community. He said that for a healthy body, he felt, that it was imperative to say a big ‘NO’ to alcohol and drugs and our mind which is exposed to tsunami of knowledge today, needs to be developed by transforming knowledge into wisdom.
“Our mind should be receptive to assimilation of knowledge and should inculcate the habit of continuous interrogation. Both body and mind needed the support of positive emotions oriented to the development of society, nation and the world” he said.
He remarked that it was imperative to develop spiritual pursuit that alone could give internal illumination to move forward to realize the destiny of human kind.
The programme was started with Havan Pujan which was attended by a large number of people from different areas.
Member JKPSC, Dr Posh Charak was also present on the occasion.
On the occasion mementos was also presented to the members for the outstanding contribution in their respective field during previous year. They included Dr.Posh Charak, Member JK PSC.

Raman Singh Charak, (Gold medal Two Time in National Championship), Er.Arvind Singh Charak (Gold Medal in National Games Gunlati, Pilot Abhinay Charak (Bronze medal in 1st Asian Art’s games, Bangkok), Dr.Anjali Charak and Sabindu Charak.
Prominent among those who were present during the function included Narayan Singh Jamwal, president Rajput Sabha, , Swaran Singh Charak, Sukhdev Singh Charak, Dr Arun Charak, Daljeet Singh Charak besides others.
