JAMMU, Feb 18: To enhance the infrastructural development of Jammu West, State president BJP and MLA Sat Sharma (CA) inaugurated newly constructed lanes at Rajpura and New Plot areas of Ward Number 29 and 16.
Accompanied by a large number of people, Sharma inaugurated the lanes in the presence of JMC (Jammu Municipal Corporation) officials, locals and political activists of the area.
The works were constructed under the supervision of JMC at an estimated cost of around Rupees 4.28 lakhs.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that in one year, the progress of Jammu West has reached to heights and in the future the main stress will be placed on those areas and works which are pending from so many years.
He said that the lane in Rajpura was last constructed nearly two decades ago whose condition worsened due to non repairs and it was on the priority which was to be taken up so that basic amenities could be provided to the masses of Jammu West.
He also stated that in coming days the works for Black Topping of roads will also be taken up by the concerned departments in order to provide best connectivity of roads to the residents of not only Jammu West but others too who pass through those roads.
Executive Engineer JMC Central Division Parvodh Sharma, AEE JP Saraf, JE BK Raina, JE SK Bhat, BJP Treasurer Chander Mohan Gupta, BJP secretary Rajinder Sharma, district president Ayodhya Gupta, Rakesh Mishra, Jeet Angral, Vijay Sharma, Surinder Choudhary, Sat Pal Khajuria, Meera Samral, Balwan Singh, Rajesh Bali, Suresh Gupta, LP Gorka, Sanjay Sawhney, Neeraj Gupta Tony, Onkar Singh Bose, Raveesh Mengi, Balbir Singh, Kishore Chandan, Ajeet Kumar, Vikrant, Roop Rajan, Sandeep Manhas, Jagdish Singh and several others were also present on the occasion.
