JAMMU, Jan 14: In a major transformation concerning development in Jammu West Assembly segment, BJP State president and MLA Sat Sharma (CA) laid the foundation stone of a deep drain (Nullah) namely RRL Nullah which will be constructed upto Shakti Nagar Nullah under the submergence scheme of the UEED (Urban Environmental Engineering Department). Accompanied by a large number of people, Sharma started the works in the presence of ERA, JMC and UEED officials where local residents and political activists of the area were also present.
The works have been taken up by the UEED for construction of the same and an estimated cost of Rs 2.04 crore will be spent on the same.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that it is indeed a great step which will ultimately result into benefiting people of Jammu West in various ways and problems concerning non channelization of water from Nullahs will not be a problem anymore and a proper channel will be given to the deep drains in the area which will solve the problem of water going into the houses and localities of the people which also caused lots of problems for them.
He said that the work of the concerned department and its officials is also appreciable in this regard who are working day and night so that best quality of infrastructure could be provided to the masses of Jammu West at their door steps.
Sharma also stressed upon doing the works with utmost good quality and stated that Jammu West is on a progressive mode and it can be seen from the projects worth hundreds of crores running in every nook and corner of the Constituency which clearly states that in coming days Jammu West will be counted amongst the best Constituencies of the State.
He also stressed upon promoting cleanliness in the localities so that a clean and green aura could be built around.
