JAMMU, May 14: State BJP president and MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma inaugurated blacktopping work in Hari Singh Nagar, Rehari Colony area of Ward 24, today.
The MLA was accompanied by a large number of people including officials of Jammu Municipal Corporation, local residents and many social as well as political activists of the area.
The work will be executed under the supervision of ERA at an estimated cost of Rs 20 lakh. The work included blacktopping of 700 square metre stretch of Hari Singh Nagar area of Ward No 24.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that the blacktopping of the road was a long pending demand of the local residents. He also said that no ward of Jammu West is left behind in terms of development and it can be seen from the works being done in various areas of Jammu West.
He said that works pertaining to replacement of water and sewerage pipes are completed in many areas and many development works are in progress in certain areas. In coming time the results will come on ground pertaining to development in all spheres of Jammu West, he added.
Sat Sharma appealed the masses to contribute in the noble cause by promoting the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of building a “Clean and Green Nation”.
Ayodhya Gupta, Arvind Gupta, Arun Chibber, Sanjay Khanna, Prem Gupta, Sourav Gupta, Sanjeev Sharma and many others were also present on the occasion.
