JAMMU, Dec 16: Sarvodya Public School, Santra Morh, Pouni Chak celebrated its annual day cum Prize Distribution Function with great enthusiasm and fervour, here today.
BJP State President and MLA Sat Sharma (CA) was the chief guest on the occasion while Member of Parliament from Jammu Poonch Lok Sabha seat Jugal Kishore Sharma was the guest of honour.
The program began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by reciting of Saraswati Vandana.
Toddlers from Tiny tots and Pre Nursery welcomed the dignitaries with roses and school Captain Vidushi Sharma delivered the welcome speech and explained the audience about the activities of the school in the past one year.
A brief cultural program including Classical Dance, Semi Classical, Folk Dances, Skits and respects to the martyrs of the nation was presented that enthralled the audience.
School Principal Shashi Rattan in her report highlighted the achievements of the school in the previous session and also underlined the vision statement for the future.
The meritorious students and those who excelled in various fields were felicitated for their achievements in various fields.
The school Chairman Subhash Chander Gupta was also present on the occasion.
The program culminated with vote of thanks presented by the school Principal followed by National Anthem.
