Sarup Singh passes away in Canada

JAMMU, July 22  Prominent social figure and former bureaucrat Sarup Singh Choudhary  passed away  after  a long battle with cancer in Canada on Friday evening .
He was 85.
He served in different capacities in the State Government   and was the pioneer in  land demarcation. He was Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Director Social Welfare and  Director Land Records in 1980s.
Sarup Singh was a prominent  figure in social circles of Jammu and Kashmir and known for  his humble nature .
He is survived by daughter Binoo Joshi and two sons Chanderbir Singh Choudhary and Vikram Choudhary.
