Saria falls on reduced offtake

NEW DELHI, Jan 14: Saria turned weak with prices falling by Rs 500 per tonne at the steel market in the national capital today due to reduced offtake by stockists following slow down in construction activity.
Traders said reduced offtake by stockists due to slow down in constructions activity in view of adverse weather conditions led to the decline in saria prices.
Saria Kamdhenu 8-mm,10-mm and 12-mm drifted lower by Rs 500 each to Rs 38,000, Rs 36,800 and Rs 36,800 per tonne, respectively. Saria 16-25-mm followed suit and traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 36,300 per tonne.
