Sanskar launches awareness campaign on organ donation

JAMMU, Aug 20: In order to bring awareness among the people regarding donation of organs, the Sanskar, a social organization has launched an awareness campaign.
The campaign was launched on the world Organ Donation day and since then the organizers of the NGO are holding corner meetings in different parts apprising people of the value of donating human organs after death.
The human beings can make for ailing people needing replacement of organs of the body to save the ailing people in need of replacement, the only remedy to save their lives. The campaign is led by H.N. Tiku, president Sanskar. While emphasizing the “Organ Dhan” as Maha Dhan he is motivating the participants to be compassionate in helping the needy, more so when due to ones donation one can save a precious human life.
He also impressed that a campaign launched will be taken to every part of the region to motivate the people for such donation.  The donors need to be apprised as to what processes is needed to approach the agency who are authorized to handle such cases and function as Human Organization Bank.
He said the number of people offered to donate the organs wanted to know the procedure and the Govt. organization earmarked for it. There are good number of people who want to donate their organs after death and the Government should create a organ donation bank in Medical colleges of the state, he added.
