UDHAMPUR, May 16: Alleging failure of Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department in providing adequate water supply, the villagers of Sangur today held protest and blocked the Sangur road.
The agitating locals raised slogans against the PHE Department and District Administration. They alleged that due to callous approach of the concerned department, the people of the area were suffering and their normal life has been getting affected.
The protesters said that they have repeatedly brought the matter into the notice of the concerned authorities but all remained in vain.
“Even we staged protests many times in the past to highlight our grievance but no action was taken till date and the water supply is still extremely poor as it was used to be, making people to face the problems to carry out their day to day works,” they said.
