Sanger Bridge in Nagrota completed: Naeem

JAMMU, Jan 9: Minister for Roads & Buildings Naeem Akhtar while replying to a question of Ajatshatru Singh informed that the work on Sanger Bridge connecting Pouthal and Nagola areas in Nagrota Constituency has been completed and the work on right approach is in progress.
The Minister informed that the left approach of the bridge could not be completed due to involvement of Wildlife department, saying that the matter is being pursued vigorously and the said approach of the bridge would be completed after clearance from the concerned department.
Responding to the supplementary to the main question of Yash Pal Sharma regarding construction of Polytechnic College Poonch, Naeem Akhtar said that JKPCC has done a lot of work on the project but due to litigation, the work on the project has been stopped. He informed that once the issue is resolved work on the project would be started.
Replying to the main question, the Minister of State for Technical Education and Tourism, Priya Sethi informed the House that the Polytechnic College Poonch has been sanctioned under Centrally Sponsored Scheme “Sub-Mission on Polytechnics under Coordinated Action for Skill Development” at an estimated  cost of Rs 13 crore including Rs 8 crore and Rs 5 crore as Central and State share respectively.
The Minister informed that the department has identified a patch of state land measuring 64 kanals and 1 marla at village Sathra and stands transferred to the concerned for construction of project. The construction work was entrusted to JKPCC which was supposed to be completed within 18 working months and was stopped due to litigation, she added.
Saif-ud-Din Bhat, Pardeep Sharma, Firdous Ahmad Tak and Yasir Reshi raised supplementary questions and sought early completion besides raising other queries.
